I love honey. We buy it raw and eat it by the spoonfuls here at my house. When the new In-Colors came out I immediately fell in love with the Hello Honey color. It is just a warm and inviting color.
We did 5 cards (2 of each) and I had the first 4 card designed pretty early. When I got to the 5th one, I started to struggle on a design. The other 4 were pretty simple easy cards but I wanted one to really pop.
I was looking through my embossing folders to see what I had that was still current. I came across the honeycomb embossing folder and with my new In-Colors that just came in, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. The Hello Honey was the perfect choice for this card.
This class was centered around one stamp set. Age Awareness that is new to the 2014-15 catalog. I wanted to show the different ways that you can use one stamp set.
This card has an Old Olive base, Natural White layer which is embossed with the honeycomb embossing folder with Hello Honey ink lightly sponged on it to give it some depth. Old Olive Baker's twine was wrapped around twice. Happy Birthday was stamped in Early Espresso on Natural White and then cut out using the Labels Collection Framelits. I then sponged Old Olive around the frame. Both were secured with pop up dots to give it some height.
