Honey Birthday

I love honey. We buy it raw and eat it by the spoonfuls here at my house. When the new In-Colors came out I immediately fell in love with the Hello Honey color. It is just a warm and inviting color.
We did 5 cards (2 of each) and I had the first 4 card designed pretty early. When I got to the 5th one, I started to struggle on a design. The other 4 were pretty simple easy cards but I wanted one to really pop.
I was looking through my embossing folders to see what I had that was still current. I came across the honeycomb embossing folder and with my new In-Colors that just came in, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. The Hello Honey was the perfect choice for this card.

This class was centered around one stamp set. Age Awareness that is new to the 2014-15 catalog. I wanted to show the different ways that you can use one stamp set.
This card has an Old Olive base, Natural White layer which is embossed with the honeycomb embossing folder with Hello Honey ink lightly sponged on it to give it some depth. Old Olive Baker's twine was wrapped around twice. Happy Birthday was stamped in Early Espresso on Natural White and then cut out using the Labels Collection Framelits. I then sponged Old Olive around the frame. Both were secured with pop up dots to give it some height.

Just for You

Another card from our class last week. This one is my favorite of all the ones that we did. I am in love with this stamp set. The possibilities of what you can do with it are endless. Take this card for instant. Who would have thought that you can create this wonderful card with just a "blob" stamp image.
I was searching the wonderful wild web for more ideas on classes and I came across one like this. I did change the colors around some but the original idea was not mind. That is what I love about being a Stampin Up demonstrator is that there are so many wonderful demos out there and we share our work with each other. We all get into that funk once in a while where your creative brain shuts down. I know mine does.
Ok so back to the card. This card just screams out happy to me.

This was created from this:

Hard to believe. I was not sure that I was going to be able to recreate it when I first saw it. But the beauty of it is, I just had fun with it and loved the way it turned out.
If you want to learn how to create wonderful fun cards to share with your family and friends, contact me today to set up a class.

Rule the World

...Temporarily that is! I feel that way when I have had my morning cup(s) of coffee. This is another card we made last week. I love the fun in this one. This is what I call a hybrid card. I used MDS and a stamp set on this one.
The World Map on this card is a MDS image. With MDS you can change the size of the image to fit the card however you want. World Map is also available in a stamp set as well. Perfect Blend is just a fun stamp set to play with.
My card class was held in a locally owned coffee shop in my neighborhood and the honor fell in love with this stamp set. She has purchased this set to use in her shop for gift cards. How fun is that?

The world map as a background stamp with the saying on the coffee cup was perfect.
"Given enough Coffee, I could rule the World temporarily"
World Map is available in Wood Mount, Clear Mount, and MDS
Perfect Blend is available in Wood Mount, and Clear Mount.

Hello Summer

Hello Summer- I know you are here as it is hot and my kids are home with me all day long. ;-). The taxi van is on the move with activities to keep them busy. Not that I am complaining I love spending time with my two wonderful kidos.
I have squeezed in some time for stamping here and there. I held a class workshop last week. (the first one in many years) We all had a great time. -at least I hope they did.
With Father's Day this past Sunday. We all made a Father's Day card. Perfect timing if you ask me.
I wanted to introduce MDS to the class. The best thing about digital stamps is that they NEVER RETIRE... What!!!!!
This set is the Classic Dad Greeting Card Template.

To host your own class - contact me today and we can set up an afternoon or evening of fun with you and your friends.
