Happy Wedding Day

Hello all. Well today was the Royal Wedding and I was up early to watch it. So beautiful I must say. But I got so involved in the festivities that I am behind on getting my cake done. I have half of it done just need to get the other half decorated. Well, I will have my work cut out for me this afternoon when I come home from my 2 hour job. No sweat, the party is not until TONIGHT.... Aghhhh. I will be posting pictures of it later.
I do have the birthday card almost done as well. I am really waiting till the last minute on everything lately. But hey- it all gets done.

Grandma's 90th Birthday Cake

So, I wanted to share with you one of my cakes that I have done. This one was for my husband's grandmother's 90th Birthday last year. We threw her a party after all 90 is something to celebrate. This is a 3 tier 2 layers on each tier yellow cake. Butter-cream basket weave design on the sides. The top layer has a cornelli lace design. I think I made about 50 roses for this cake. My hand was sore after that. There are about 40 on the cake. Grandma loved the cake. This size cake will feed at least 50 people with very generous size cuts. We did have cake left over but who ever complains about that.
