Sometimes I just want time to stand still. It goes by so fast. These past few months have been so busy with kids and school and everything that they both do outside of school. I was hired to do wedding invitations and I was super busy with those. The bride to be needed 100 save the dates, wedding invites with the RSVPs. So that kept me really busy. Along with the 50 Thank You cards she needed also. The best part about it all was that she let me come up with the design. She gave me the colors and an idea on what she wanted and let me do all the designing. I had fun coming up with several designs for her to choose from. When she picked out the one she liked all I had to do was get busy. I had a few months to get it all done as she gave me plenty of time to do it all. It was so excited to see the look on her face when I gave them all to her. She loved them. ( YEAH... ).
What was so cool was that after about a week or so of her receiving her Save the Date cards, I got one in the mail and then received the invitation later. Well her wedding is coming up next week and I can not wait to attend.
Kids have all finished school and have been out for the summer for a few weeks now. The last day of school was an emotional one for me. Ally is leaving elementary school. She had a hard time the last few days of school. It is really hard to believe that my baby girl is going off to Jr High next year. What is next, High School and then College.. haha. She didn't want to leave her only school that she has been to. She started Kindergarten there and is now leaving. But I did tell her that she will not loose all ties there as we still have her brother there. He is going into 4th grade. Man talk about wanting time to stand still.
We did a big family vacation to the mountains. - First time for us all. We all fell in love with the Smokey Mountains. This was the first vacation that we didn't want to come home. Usually we are all ready by the end of vacation to go home and back to our stuff, but not this one. We had so much fun hiking the mountain trails, climbing to very high peaks. We did some of what I am calling "whitewater" tubing and even did horseback riding along the mountain edges. Now we are home and back to our ordinary life.
Ok so now we are all home and back to work for the hubby and for me trying to entertain the kidos for the rest of the summer break. I have been stamping as much as I can since I finished the wedding package. I will have some pics of the cards that I have done. But for now I will leave you with the wedding invitations.
I am wanting to do some classes this summer and get back into doing classes and clubs. I am also up to doing a stamp party for a girls night out. If interested just get in touch with me.
Until then,
HAPPY STAMPIN

I used Stampin Up supplies with the exception of the ribbon and the 5*7 envelopes for the invitation. Whisper White, Basic Black. I did this digitally using Wedding Sweet images. This was my first time using the digital images and I must say that it was a lot of fun. I was able to place the swirls where I wanted them and the size them to the right size for the cardstock sizes. The black background card stock was embossed with the Vintage wallpaper folder. I added the rhinestones to the points of the swirls to give it some bling.
I am available for all types of invitation needs and party favors as well.

I am back.
WOW!
Where has the time gone? It has been over a month since my last post. February flew by so fast. So much going on, it was hard to keep up with it all. Ally turned 12 and we had a little celebration for her. She went easy on me this year and just wanted to celebrate with her friends at a local family owned Ice Cream Shop. Her cake this year consisted of brownies chopped up in a waffle bowl with all the "sundae" fixings on it.
She really let me off the hook on this one. But it is what she wanted. She is growing up to be one beautiful young lady.
I had several other cakes to make in the month of February. Andrew had his Blue & Gold for Cub Scouts at the end of the month and I was asked to make that cake. I will post a picture of that later.
I did get some stamping in this past month. I have joined a monthly Christmas challenge group to make 10 Christmas cards a month. This way I will be prepared come November to send out all of my cards and not scrambling till the very end to get it all done. I just got those in on the last day of the month. I was hired in January to do a wedding for a young couple who go to Church with our family. I got all the Save the Dates done at the beginning of February and now I am working on the Wedding invitations. I am only doing 100 of them. WOWers... :-)
I will post tomorrow more about the other cakes that I have done this past month and the cards.
I am off to work on some Birthday cards for the teachers at my children's school. I have been making cards for each staff member this year. I have some months where there are only a few but for March, we have a lot of Birthdays.
Until then,
Happy Stampin and Bakin
