Giving Thanks

Giving Thanks for all that we have.
WOW what a statement.

With Thanksgiving only 2 months away, I need to start working on my Giving Thanks cards.

Every Thanksgiving my Church collects Thanksgiving dinners for residents in our community. We bag up the meals and deliver them the weekend before Thanksgiving. Inside each bag we add a gift certificate for a local grocery store so they can purchase their turkey.

Who wants to just throw a gift card into the bag and chance it getting lost or thrown out by mistake?
Instead we put the gift cards into cards. Yes, store bought cards could be used as it is very economical since we send out 100-150 meals every year. But I feel when you open a hand made card and there is a personal message inside, it just means so much more.

I have been making cards for this ministry for 3 years now and I love it. I do several designs so that they are different. It is also a great way to use up some retired product if I have any laying around.
This year I am starting early as last year I was in a crunch the last week. :-)
The first design I am going to make is this beauty. I love the different types of baskets to choose from and what goes in them.

I will be designing a few more in the next coming weeks, so be on the look out.

Until then.

Tin of Tags Kit

It is hard to believe that September is almost half way over. That just means that the holidays will be here before you know it. I want to help you get ready with the holiday gift giving.

I love that Stampin' UP! offers kits to make creating so easy. With project kits, you get a fun creative experience without the need to design your own project. Kits can be done in two ways.

ONE- You can gather your friends, purchase the basic kit and have me (your wonderful demonstrator) wink bring the extra supplies to make something special.

OR

TWO- If you want to DIY , then you can purchase all the necessary products listed with each kit.

Both are great options, but number ONE sounds like a party to me. Who does not like to hang with friends and have a great time.

I am going to host a Tin of Tags Project Party to get you started on making your holiday tags for your gifts.

November 5, 2016 at 2:00 my stamp room.

For 30.00 you can create 30 hand stamped tags to add to your gifts. This price includes the Project kit. I will supply the additional products: The Tin of Tags stamp set, ink, adhesive and maybe a few extras.

If you would like to purchase the stamp set so you can create more tags, please add an additional 25.00 to the cost.

The prices includes tax and shipping.
This will be paid to me Jeannette Dailey at

paypal.me/JeannetteDailey

I will need all payments by October 22, 2016 to give time for shipping so we have the kits by class.

I am looking forward to this fun class.
Pictures below show the kit and the stamp set. Additional supplies are not shown but will be provided at the class.

From simple to WOW

I love to do quick and simple cards. Especially when I do not have a lot of time to get some cards made. And to throw Pinterest in there and it is even better. I found this really simple but oh so awesome card on Pinterest. It was just what I need to add to my stampin club. Pinterest is a great place to get tons of ideas from.
It was simple but cute. The gals loved it.

This one was super easy to do and I just love the butterflies. The simple greeting on the bottom is perfect.

Well, after club today I was cleaning up and putting things away and I  had come across some extras that I had cut out. So I decided to put rest of them together to have on hand.
I started playing around with the Butterfly Basic set that I had sitting out. I stamped the butterfly image over the butterfly cutout to add some extra color and pop.

It did not stop there, I added a little more pop across the bottom and then the greeting at the top.

It just goes and show you what a little bit more color and added elements can do to a card.

I love the new 2015-17 In Colors and I really need to use them more often.

Blooms are in the air

Spring is coming and I am doing the happy dance. I do not like the cold weather. With the warmer weather coming I thought I would bring out the blooms.
Birthday Blooms is a new set from Stampin' Up! Occasion Catalog. I really love this flower. Ok. I will admit it, I loved coloring this flower. Coloring is so relaxing to me.

The colors just pop. I added a paper lace doilie and the Watermelon Wonder Dotted Lace trim was a great pop of color and texture.

If you look at the close up of the flower you will see it sparkle. The new Wink of Stella clear glitter pen is a MUST HAVE. I have used this on just about everything. I love that it dries quick and there is no waiting time.

This card was created in my monthly club. We usually create 2-3 projects a month depending on the projects. I  love getting together with my "clubbers" every month who have become really great friends that I have been blessed to have met.

If you would like to meet once a month and stamp and goof off and have fun. Get in touch with me for the details.

You can purchase all that is needed for this card and more on my online shop. Just click the shopping cart on the right hand side and it will take you to my online store.

Until next time,

Working or Playing?

Is it really work when you love what you are doing? I really can not call it work when I am in my office playing with stamp sets. So let us call it FUN Work.

So much is going on right now. My stamp office has exploded with creativeness (if that is a word) every where.

I just finished working on 125 Day of Thanks cards for my church to give out with Thanksgiving baskets next week.

I have started working on class projects for next month. I know a month early RIGHT!

I have decided not to wait until the week of the class to get everything all done. In fact I have several projects going on at the same time.

I am in the planning stages of putting together classes for online. More information will come when I get all the details ironed out

I have stepped outside of my little protective safe bubble and joined a group where I MUST complete a card every month and write up directions for it. This is going to help me in so many ways with in many different areas.

Please stay tuned for some great things happening here at Dailey Creations.

Holiday Catalog Retiring list

It will be sad to see the holiday catalog end on January 4, 2016. This catalog has been amazing. But with the catalog ending that also means that many of the items will no longer be available. Some will be gone forever even sooner.

To give everyone a heads up, Stampin’ Up! has released the Holiday Catalog Retiring list so you can pick up all those things on your list prior to them being retired or sold out.

Just be aware, the products on the retiring list will be while supplies last from today through January 4th, so once a products sells out it will not be restocked.

You will want to shop now if you still have a wish list for your Holiday crafts.

Got to love Halloween

Halloween seems to be one of the holidays that not too many cards get made for. I don't have as many Halloween sets as I do Christmas. But that is ok.

I did fall in love with this set out of our new Holiday catalog. This one can be used for many different seasons. I will start off with Halloween.

The embossing folder has so many possibilities that I can not wait to play more with it..

I sponged the embossing folder with some basic black and then embossed the grey cardstock. This gave the embossed image such a dramatic look. I thought it looked spooky. I used the new black doilies as spider webs.

I made two of these to send to some cute little kidos.

This was one of the cards that we did this month for club.

Garden in Bloom

When I saw this set in the new catalog, I knew I had to have it. I love everything about it. The flowers, leaves, butterflies, and that cute little bee. We are using this set in my club for the month of July.
This is a two-step stamp set. Two step stamping is where you use two or  more coordinating images to create one. It usually consists of an outline image and then one that fills in the outline.

The flowers and leaves in the second card is two step. I used the same ink pad to create a variation in color. I stamped the outline in with the chosen color and for the fill in, I inked up the image and then stamped on a scrap paper to take off most of the ink. This gives the image a lighter tone using the same ink.

The friends card is using the Garden in Bloom set, English Garden Designer Series Paper, and the English Garden coordinating cardstock -(love that we now offer that package with the designer series paper packs). The butterfly outline and greeting was stamped with the Memento black in on vellum. Old Olive Baker's Twin was wrapped around the layers.

You're in my Thoughts is a simple one layer card that can be created in less than 15 minutes. How easy is that. Using the new THICK Whisper White cardstock as the base. YEAPERS - you read that right, Stampin' Up! now offers Whisper White in a nice thick 100-lb weight. This makes it perfect to use for bases.
For this card I used Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron, Delightful Dijon, and Memento Black inks, A Dozen Thoughts stamp set for the greeting, and Jewel Rhinestones as some added bling - (and to cover up an ink boo boo).
This card design I can see making a bunch of to have on hand and just leaving the greeting off. That way I can just stamp what I need when I need a card for whatever occasion that comes up.

Fun with Journals

I created some journals to give out as gifts. These were so much fun to make. The first one I will admit did take me about 45 minutes to do- but hey it always take a longer time to do something for the first time right? After the first one, the rest were a breeze. I was able to make 2 of them in hour.

The notebook on the inside is your regular junior legal pad that you can pick up from any store. The ink pens are the barrel type ones that I cut some of the designer paper and rolled up in tube to match the journals.
I did not get a picture of the inside - but there are pockets on each side. The notebook fits into one of them, and the other one can be used to hold notes. These would make great gifts for anyone.
I will have some for sale soon as I am working on more as one of my summer projects.
I will post pics of the ones that I get done in the next week. I can also take orders for specialized ones.

This size will be sold for 3.00 each
