OH HELLO ....

This is the card that I made today. It is a mixture of current with just a little bit of retired mixed in.

I did a card swap a few months ago and I love it. The best thing about doing these is I get some wonderful samples to use as designs and ideas. I changed this one up some with different colors and stamp sets but the layout helped.

I have been making cards so much lately and now I have extras. I have decided that I am going to start sending my extras out. So if you would like a hand stamped card from me mailed to you. Let me know. Who does not love going to the mail box and seeing something in there for you other than bills. I know I do.

Card classes are also being added to the calendars, so keep checking that for a class that you might want to do. Christmas classes are at least once a month sometime I offer the same class twice in case you can not make the first date. I am putting together an all occasion card class for August as well.

Classes are a great way to escape from the chores that we all have to do. I enjoy sitting down for a little bit and stamping and meeting new friends and catching up with old ones. And the best part is, I hold most of the classes at our wonderful little coffee shop that is in our neighborhood. It is a family owned business and that is what I love about it. My family business helping other family businesses and who does not love coffee.

If you can not make any of the classes, but still need stamping supplies- you can order them from home now at my online store. Best part of this is that you can order 24/7. You know just in case at midnight you just remembered that you needed more card stock or your ink pad is running low. Well now you can order right then and there.

Christmas in July

That is right. We are starting off the Christmas season in July. Whoo Hooo....
Our first Christmas card class was last night and we had a great time getting into the Christmas mood.
This was the first class of 5. I will have one every month (sometimes twice a month) till November.

This class used a retired stamp set but still one of my favorites. I tend to buy lots of Christmas stamp sets and it is really sad that they only get used about once a year, so I made that decision this year to pull some of my retired ones for classes. Don't worry, I have a new one that was delivered by Mr. UPS man last week that will be for next month's class.

I have a few sets of this particular card left over. The set is 10 cards with envelopes. If you are interested in this card, I can put a kit together for you. It will include everything you need (except adhesive and markers to color with) to assemble the card. The card kit is 15.00. It can be mailed to you as well (you just pay for the postage).

I have really enjoyed doing the classes these past 2 months and I think that I am going to be adding more to my calendar. I have met some wonderful new friends and as a stay at home mom this is just what I needed. I get out of the house a few nights every month to hang with friends and do what I love to do.

If you would like to be part of this fun group, contact me today. Stamp time usually last about 2 hours and our main meeting place is a wonderful coffee shop in my neighborhood that serves some of the best coffee and little sweet treats.

Happy Stamping.

Feedback please

I have been doing classes at least once a month now and loving it. We did a Birthday card class, and tomorrow night we are going to be making Christmas cards. - it is never to early to get started on those.

I am working on putting another class on the calendar each month as well. One class will be the Christmas cards - run till November.

The second class will be more of an everyday card class. An idea was thrown out this morning about doing a Party invitation class and I love this idea. So now my wheels are turning on how to come up with a design that would please everyone.

Generic party invites are a good place to start, But remember I can also customize them to fit your child's needs as well. Would you be interested in attending this type of class? If I had enough interest, I could ahead of time customized each person's invites to suit their needs. (girl / boy) theme Matching party favors can also be done.

I will have to work on the cost for this type of class. But I wanted to see if the interest is out there. The class will be done at Latte La Vie coffee shop in Lake Asbury Fl .

Looking forward to hearing your feed back.

Perfect Weekend

It was a perfect weekend spent with my wonderful husband of 20 years. Our Anniversary is technically in May. But with school ending and kids and their activities it is hard now to do anything during the actual month.
So we wait till school is out to go away. Our two wonderful kids get to spend time with grandma and grandpa who still spoil them even at the ages of 14 and 11. Who does not love dinner out every night and day trips to museums.
This year Chris and I went to New Smyrna beach for the weekend. We try to go someplace where we have not been.
I must say that I fell in love with this place. The shops, restaurants, and the beach were all perfect.
Our wonderful B&B that we stayed at was only a 5 minute drive to the beach and walking distance to some antique shops and great places to eat.
Chris and I enjoying our time alone for the weekend.

The beach in the evening at sunset was wonderful. Water was so warm.

Just love this with the waves showing through the plants.

Our B&B where we stayed at. Such wonderful people who owned the place. We were welcomed with such open arms.

Our first night there we had champagne chilling in our room.
I am looking forward to many more trips with my husband.
Now I get back to reality this week with kids, laundry, grocery shopping and stamping.

Time off for friends

I have taken a few days off this week to help out a wonderful dear friend of mine. That is what I love about what I do. If I need to stop for a few days then I can and then start right back up.

I have a few cards that I have been working on so I just need to take pictures and get them posted. The other wonderful thing about what I do is that I can take my work with me where ever I go. My wonderful hubby is taking me away for the weekend for our anniversary. It was actually in May but with kids finishing up school and beginning of summer camps for the kids we are just now having time to go.

I will take my tablet with me and work on posts while we are driving. So look for more posts in the next day or two.

Playing around

In the midst of cleaning my office yesterday, I found a box that had card pieces in it. You know that box where you make cards for a class and you have tons of extra card pieces all together but not used.
I came across the one that I did back in January for Valentine's Day. There were two cards left from that one card that still needed to be put together. But I really do not need a Valentine Card in July. So, I changed the wording to make it more usable during this time of year.

I had everything all cut, stamped and ready to go. I just flipped the tag over from where it said Happy Valentine's Day and stamped Happy Anniversary.
So easy! Now I have two Anniversary cards for when I need them.
I have a whole box of card kits that I need to play with.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Happy 4th July

Happy 4th of July to all my card making friends. This afternoon we will be celebrating with friends with a good ol' BBQ and pool time.

But before that, I will be in my craft office cleaning it up from my creative messiness as I call it. Making cards these past few weeks for card classes can get a little messy. But it is a good mess. But there just comes a time when the mess needs to be clean so I can start over again.

I have really enjoyed putting together classes to do. I have made some wonderful new friends.
These are the cards that we did at my Birthday card class a week ago.

This one is more on the masculine side- which for me is hard to make at times.

A clean and simple card with one layer.
The Open Sea is a good one that I found for more of the "manly" card.

This one was fun to make. The ladies had a great time making this one. I love the fun bright colors. At first I was not sure about the colors when I had the ink pads just sitting on the table. When they hit the paper- they really popped.
We used painter's tape for the stripes and this was a hit. No one had heard to use this technique before. I love it as the paint does not stick to the paper and rip it when you pull it up.
Gifts of Kindness was used for this colorful card.

Both of these sets can be found on my online store that is open 24/7.

Have a great day my stamping friends.
