Happy Anniversary Honey....

Well, I have waited until today to show you my latest card creation. I made this one for my honey for our Anniversary. Today we have been married for 17 years. It has been the best 17 years too. We met in high school when we were 15 and started dating then. He has given me a wonderful home to live in, two beautiful children to love, and he loves me unconditionally. (even with all of my stamp stuff all over the place). What more can a girl ask for. We are celebrating this weekend by going to Epcot. It will be a nice get away. The kids are with my parents for the weekend so they are having fun with Nana and Papa.
Well, onto the card....
I used a combination of old and new goodies. I had some Valentine paper left over from last year so that is the heart. The base is Naturals White, middle layer is Early Espresso, and the top layer is River Rock. I used the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder with Crumb Cake on the folder to give the design a more stand out look. I punched the birds out in Very Vanilla and then sponged a little bit of Pretty and Pink and Silver Shimmer paint on them. Popped on little pearls for the eyes. The ribbon is the Very Vanilla seam binding. Love this ribbon. Want it in more colors... :-)  Happy Anniversary is from Teeny Tiny Wishes set. I must say that I cased the layout. I saw one similar on Split Coast and loved it. I changed it out a little bit. I love the little "love" birds.
Enjoy and have a wonderful weekend.

Soccer time

Well, this season we combined both of the kids soccer team parties. I thought that it would be easier to do one BIG ol party instead of two. Nope!!! I think the two individual team parties is more personal and I will just stick to that. I still had to make two cakes but this time I had to do them at once instead of a week apart. The two that I made this time around was kinda plain looking if you ask me, but the kids loved them.
Overall I think the kids had a great time and did not mind both teams being there. But I could not walk around and talk to everyone like I could in a smaller setting. Both teams did an amazing job this year. Andrew's team (U8- The Tigers) won all 8 of their games and they got to dump what ever they wanted to over Coach Chris's head. Let's see we had Red Power Aid, Red cool-aid, caramel milk had been sitting out in the heat, diet coke, and the favorite was pancake syrup with pizza sauce. Chris was such a great sport about this. Our U12 team The WildCats had a great season as well, with only 2 losses. They got to "clean" Coach up by pouring water over him.

We are now resting for the summer and gearing up for the fall. I have attached the link to the video that I made of the "dumping".Take a look and get a laugh.

Cakes and Cakes, and Cupcakes Oh My

I have been very busy these last few days. I have baked 48 cupcakes and 2 cakes. But oh I still need to ice them. They all need to be ready by tomorrow. The cupcakes have to be ready to be delivered to my children's school by 8:00 in the morning. This week has been teacher appreciation week. I am on the board of the school's PFA and we are giving all the teachers a special treat of cupcakes tomorrow. I have baked half of what is needed. My good friend and the Prez of the PFA has baked the other half. The two cakes are for a soccer party Friday night. So I guess I have a little bit of time to decorate them. Like I have said in the past.... Nothin like waiting till the last minute on things. I also need to go out tomorrow and finish purchasing items for the party, plus gift cards for the coaches. Not to mention go out to the teacher's favorite spots to pick up some goodies for them as well. We have really spoiled them this week. But they do deserve it.
Well, all I have left to do tonight is just make some icing to decorate the cupcakes and oh yeah, make three thank you cards for Ally's teachers. Just another busy day in my crazy but wonderful life.
Until next time.

Happy Stampin and Happy Bakin.

The bugs are here.

Well, here is the bug cake. It was not what I had visioned but hey, that is just the way it goes. I always have something totally different in mind when I do cakes. But this one turned out great also. The birthday boy loved it and so did his friends. That is all that mattered. This is just the first one of many that I am doing in the next two months. The kids are finishing up their soccer season this week so that is two soccer cakes for next weekend's party. The drama play at Ally's school is at the end of May so I was asked to do a cake for the pre-party. June is just as busy. Little man's 8th birthday is next month and he keeps changing his design plan for his cake. Right now it is Star Wars so we shall see what it will be the closer the date gets. June also brings baby shower cupcakes. Can not wait to do those. Noah's Ark is the theme.
Well have a great Sunday. Im going to rest today as the rest of the week is very busy.
