Well, according to my kids it is coming and they have to start planning. They have already started talking about what they want to dress up as. I have a Star Wars fan who can not decide on which character he wants to be. My daughter on the other hand can not decide if she wants to dress up at all. She is 10 and is thinking about just staying home and handing out candy.
Well, with all of the Halloween talk and my new stamp sets sitting on my desk that I just got; the Greeting Card Kids was sitting on top. This set is just way too cute. I love the little kids and what you can do with them. I saw the little girl sitting on top of the pumpkin in a witch's outfit and I too got into the Halloween spirit. So, I pulled out my new toys and some old toys as well and started playing. This is what I came up with. A list of supplies is listed below. Thanks for taking a look and I hope that you enjoy your Labor Day Monday.
Stamps: Greeting Card Kids - clear mount (120633) and Grateful Greetings- wood mount (116511)
Card Stock: Naturals White, Basic Black, and Only Orange (retired)
Ink: Basic Black Classic Ink
Accessories: Stampin Up Write Markers, Aqua Painter, 1-1/4 square punch, 1-3/8 square punch, The Big Shot (if you do not have one of these.. you are missing out on a fun fun fun tool), and the new Embossing folder Square Lattice (119976).

I AM BACK
Hello all,
I know that I have been gone for a long time. I am back. I am here to tell you all that I am offering a class for children on Wednesday July 21. We are going to be stamping on a wooden picture frame, creating a book-marker, and learning how to do a "chalk board" image card.
The cost of this class is only 5.00 per crafter. Please see my class page for more details.
I will also be offering another class for the older crafters (age 7 and up). This class will be on Wednesday August 4 at 10:00 and I will have another one at 1:00. I have room for 8 stampers per class time.
They will be creating a set of 10 cards with envelopes. They could be for birthdays, friends, thanks, or a just because cards. What friend would not like to get a handmade card. There will also be a bonus project for them to do as well. This class will be 10.00.

Simply Simple Challenge from Kimberly
Kimberly Van Diepen, a wonderful stamper and friend challenged us to make a no layer card. This was very hard to do as I like to at least add one layer. I used Very Vanilla card stock. I ran Stampin' Up! Petals A Plenty Impression folder with the center "cut out". I then stamped the center with the flowers from the new clear stamp set Happy Moments from Sale A Bration. I added Dazzling Diamonds to a few of the embossed flowers to make them pop. Added Old Olive ribbon with a few brads. It was a really easy card to do. Thanks Kimberly for challenging us. You know simple can be beautiful.
Happy Stamping everyone.

Big Shot quilted bag
Today there was no school and the weather was just blah.. We stayed in all day. The kids played the Wii ( and hubby too) while I sewed. This is something I have not done in a long time.
I got out my Big Shot and my new scallop square die cut from Stampin Up. I decided to try to make a quilted rag bag that I have heard so much about. This was my first attempt to make one of these. I actually had fun making this one. I love the colors that I picked out. Now I am fighting my daughter for this bag. She has tried to take it several times today. I guess I will just have to make her one.
Now that I have the first one done, all the others will be easy to do. Using the Big Shot and the die cut saved so much time. I love my Big Shot. The projects that you can do with it are endless. I can see other bags in my future.
Thanks for looking today. I will post again later on this week of Ally's Birthday. She turns 10 this week. I can not believe that. Double digits. WOW....

Valentine Card for Club
Here is one of the Valentine Cards that we will be doing for our first club of 2010. This card says it all with out all the frilly embellishments. This would be great for the guy in your life. And man o man it was hard to do a card without all the hearts and pink colors.
This card uses my first stamp set that I bought as a demo and it is still current. It is the Loads of Love # 115022 for 23.95 and the Loads of Love Accessories # 115024 for 20.95. I used Bordering Blue, Ruby Red, and Very Vanilla card stock. I colored the images in with the Stampin' Write Markers.
We are meeting on January 16 at 10:00 at my house for club. We meet once a month and depending on the number of participants for each club determines the monthly spending requirement. If you are interested in getting together a group of friends to stamp each month and to take turns earning great stamping goodies, give me a call. For example... 6 club members is only 25.00 (before taxes and s/h) a monthly requirement for 6 months. This reaches the 150.00 minimum for free goodies.. and who doesn't like free goodies. Each stamper takes a month to get the goodies.
Happy Stamping.

Happy New Year
I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year. I hope all have a wonderful day to start off the year 2010. One of my goals this year is to post more often which means I will have to make more projects more often. That is one of my other goals for this year, so I will be completing two of them.
I am spending the weekend with my family. Today is my mom's birthday and tomorrow is my niece's 13th birthday. So, this is a weekend of celebrating. I am making my niece's cake today so, I will post pictures of it when I have it all done. I will also post pics of her present that I created for her as well.
Have a great day everyone.
